- International Grandmaster 1996Golubev lives in Odessa, Ukraine. Won several chess tournaments including Ukrainian Championship 1996, and Swiss Open Championship 1999. Since 1993 he played occassionally in the team championships of different European countries, including German Bundesliga ( 2001/2002 first board for the team Stuttgarter Schachfreunde). Golubev was also at the Internet since 1998 when he launched the website "Ukrainian Chess Online" (http://chess-sector.odessa.ua/) where he now is the editor. He also worked for the website www.Kasparovchess.com and the electronic chess newsletter ChessToday. In 1999 his first chess book, "Easy Guide to the Dragon" was published by Everyman Publishers in association with Gambit Publications. |
